RESORT LOCATION & ACCESS
The resort is located 5 miles south of Castries, on the Caribbean west coast of St Lucia. Marigot Bay has convenient access to international connections from Hewanorra International Airport, in the south of the island, and the George FL Charles regional airport at Vigie (Castries) with its frequent American Eagle flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico and on to the US.
 

LANDSCAPING
The accommodation buildings stand amid lush tropical gardens designed by leading landscape gardening expert Veronica Shingleton-Smith, a regular guest on the British television programme, Gardener's World. The “managed wild gardens” are aimed at softening the edges of the buildings by planting “the colours and scents of the rainforest.”

MEETINGS  / CONFERENCE FACILITIES The resort’s Great Hall offers 1,500 square feet of function space, divisible in two, seating 100 people theatre-style, 65 banquet-style and up to 150 for receptions. The Palm Pavilion is a 1,000 square foot open-air deck at the dock level that can be used for receptions.
 
THE WEDDING TREEHOUSE
Mostly used for weddings, the treehouse, on the edge of the Zen Garden, can accommodate 12 people for the ceremony and is also available for small, very private dinner parties.

LAPLI SPA
Lapli, which means both ‘rain’ and ‘blessings’ in the Creole language, is designed to reflect the hues and tones of the Caribbean Sea and sky. Each treatment room has its own private deck with open-air shower and there is a Zen garden with ofuru wooden soaking tubs and massage cabanas. Treatments use a mix of E'Spa products and local ingredients available from Caribbean herbalists. St Tropez Tanning Essentials are also available.

D iscovery at Marigot Bay offers special mind and body programmes year-round, ranging from meditation retreats, stress management, exercise and spa body treatments, to visits by guest gurus who will share their wisdom and experience on various aspects of personal development.
 
DINING & ENTERTAINMENT
 Discovery’s restaurants offer everything from haute cuisine to simple snacks. Enjoy the colonial charm of The Boudreau, or the harbourside buzz of The Coffee Dock. There are several bars, the Pink Snail, which is a tribute to the film Dr Dolittle, and the world famous Hurricane Hole Bar restored to its former glory. There’s dancing under the stars and local musicians and entertainers showcasing their talents. ACTIVITIES For the active, the Discovery fitness centre has state of the art cardio equipment and weightlifting machines. There are two swimming pools and a wide range of watersports including sailing, sea kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling. The hotel tour desk can arrange island excursions and other activities such as horse riding, golf and rainforest hiking. The famous palm fringed beach is a two minute ferry ride across the bay.
